Hello, Does anyone know Mrs W.J. Neese from Paris TN? If she gave the info to the funeral home for Hattie's death..possibly she might have info about Hattie's husband Sam Lipford!! Supposedly his 1st wife Lizzie Lipford is buried in Bethesda Cemetery, but I can't find her name on the Bethesda listings online..Could there possibly be 2 Bethesda Cemeteries?? Nothing matches, Dave. The McEvoy dates are burials from 1901 thru 1991. I checked some of the early burials for Finch and none of the names match. Also, there were no Sampson's, whatsoever, listed. Hi folks, I just found a hole in my tree, and wonder if someone can help me fill it? I have two ATKINS sisters and their husbands' surnames, but no more on the husbands. First is Joy ATKINS, born 1936, died 1960, married a VOWELL. I would think the marriage year was between about 1952 and 1956. Second is Dorothy Atkins, married an OWEN. She was (probably) born between 1930 and 1935. The parents were Henry Clay ATKINS, born 14 Jun 1899 in Henry County, Tennessee, and Annie Inez OWEN, born 03 Jan 1903 in Weakley County, Tennessee. I will send this to the Weakley and Henry County lists These are sisters of my first cousin's wife, Ruby Ann ATKINS who is also deceased. I wonder about the Vowell because when I was very young we lived on a farm outside of Martin, owned (if memory serves) by a man named Major VOWELL. I believe Major was his name rather than a military rank, and I wonder if there is any connection. Also I wonder about the OWEN because the girls' mother was an OWEN. On same page was Mrs. Caroline Simmons, 69, wd., with children Pinckney 37, Lisa (or Lira?) 33, Flora 27, and Edd 24, plus Mary 18 (dau in law), and grand-dau Ruth 1 yr. (Edd and Mary md. less than 1 yr.) In 1920, Caroline, 79, is living with her son EDD, 34, in same district. He is also with wife Mary 27, his brothers Anthony, single, and Wm., wd., both 46?, and sister Flora 37, single. Also nieces Louise 12, ruth 10, ruby 9 (or 8?), and reba? 3. They are next door to Chas. H., 40, and his wife Hettie, children Franklin 15, Evelyn 10 and Teresa? 1.
