Thanks so much for the information. The earliest record for Trevathan that I had found was for 1834, so I thought it was worth a shot to ask. I am still trying to find more Miller brothers for William, Pearson, Bird and John. The family legend is that there were eleven of them, but I have never found but four that I could be sure of. Joan, you might want to contact my cousin Joyce Gwin Hornback about the Gwins. I know she's done a lot of work on the Gwins. I have Edward Gwin and wife Margaret Webb Bowden in my database because of the Bowdens. That's how Joyce and I connect. I have a picture of them I took from the Carroll County History Book. Joan, The marriage books from 1900 to 1950 contain only the bride, groom and date of marriage. Some of the older books have bride, groom, bondsman, date and who performed the marriage.
