He is living in Henderson Co TN in 1850 and 1860 (census). There were several men named James Ross. This one had a son, John M Ross born 1825 who married Martha Tignor. They had a son, Andrew Jack Ross born 1871 who married 1st Julia Faucett and 2nd Jennie Perryman. I'm not sure if James came from NC with the other Ross line (Hugh or Dugal line).
