Thanks for the reply and info. According to the 1860 census at Henderson Co TN, my Martin Family lived at house #675. At house #682 is Ranson Cunningham 64 yrs b. VA, and his wife Sarah, 56yrs, b. VA. At house #683 is R. B. Cunningham 28yrs, b. TN and wife E.J. 24 yrs, b. TN. I am only guessing that George Wesley Martin b. 1849 NC, living at house # 675 married Martha Virginia Cunningham, d/o R.B. in house #683. I am basing this guess on the fact they were neighbors, and the fact that Martha states on the 1880 census both she and her parents are born in TN. So this is guesswork, now. My Martin family are from North Carolina, but lived in Henderson Co TN from 1855 to 1878, and then moved permanently to Navarro Co TX. When they left as an entire group in 1878 for Texas, they consisted of 4 complete households, who all moved together. All with the surname of Martin and all related. By the way, in 1880 census at Navarro Co TX, all 4 of the MARTIN households are listed, and they are the ONLY Martin families there at that time. www.familysearch.org Type in Martin, then hit refine search, until you put in Navarro Co TX only. I am going to visit your webpage and check your names, thanks again for replying with info.
