http://members.tripod.com/don.mckinney/margaretletter.html This is just an FYI about an interesting letter I found where Margaret Ann (Delaney) Yeates wrote to her son John Wesley Yeates during the Civil War, about 1864. He was serving with the 10th TN Infantry, Union army. She tells of one of Forrest's raids (and the horses his band stole) and mentions several people who seem to have lived in the Doe Creek area. The letter was transcribed by one of her descendants, Don McKinney.
