In 1848, Robert Liston was married and became the father of a daughter, Suzean H. His first wife's name is unknown. Their location is unknown. I have not found him on the 1850 census. By 1852, he has married Mary Ann Wilkins (Graves) and is the father of daughter, Lucy Bell. They are on the 1860 census which states that Robert was born in AL. According to military records, Robert J. Liston enlisted in 55th TN Infantry Co E. on 20 Jan. 1862 at Henderson Station, Madison Co. He was captured at Island 10 , 8 Apr 1862; received 20 Apr 1862 at Camp Randall; Madison , Wisconsin; then sent ot Camp Douglas, Chicago, IL where he died 9 July 1862.
