FYI, new look coming to Tennessee State Library website. Look for the revised TSLA web site to launch on May 17, 2005. There's a new look coming to the web site of the Tennessee State Library and Archives. We will soon be unveiling a redesigned web site for our users. Some of the main characteristics of the newly designed web site: *A simplified URL, making the TSLA web address easier to remember. *A consistent format, with an appearance designed to maximize accessibility and ease of use. *An organization arranged by subject content, rather than by TSLA departments. *A set of common features on all of the pages -- links to contact information, a link to the TSLA online catalog, a site map, and a box to search the TSLA web site.   The redesigned TSLA site will have some new features, including: *A State Historian's page. *A rotating TSLA slide show, showcasing our photographic collection. *Downloadable forms for ordering materials and services. *A"How do I find?" button, with answers to the most frequently asked questions received by Public Services. *Expansion of the section on Government Documents, both state and national. *Key links to the Tennessee Blue Book and the Tennessee Encyclopedia, as well as a page of links to other sites, all of them government, professional associations, or non-profit sites.   -- Edwin S.
