1. Re: [TNHENDER] Where was Morning Sun?
2. Might try emailing Museum at Governor Browning Library in Carroll Co. TN or put message on message board of Carroll Co. TN Historical Society on www.rootsweb.com. Likely someone may have a lead for you regarding "Morning Sun". It has been my experience, many times a community within a county was named for landmark, i.e. a church, post office. Check this website for links to above, there is a link for Historical Society: Carroll County Tennessee Genealogy & History. TNGenNet Inc, TNGenWeb Project. or http://www.tngenweb.org/carroll/ I-40 highway took land from both Carroll Co. TN and Henderson Co. TN when it was built, but I don't know how close the location you seek was to the highway. I also don't know when construction started on I-40 through both those counties. Early newspapers of Carroll Co. TN might shed some light, if any were available. The new pictorial book by Brenda Fiddler has section on Civil War. Below is website for information about her book and briefly what is included. It is not just Henderson Co. TN and related to HeCoTn residents. www.tnyesterday.com I received a note from Brenda that said books may be mailed earlier than 01 Dec. If you find out about "Morning Sun", let us know, might be some useful information to those researching both counties. Hope this helps. Linda
