    3. I descend from James Maners [who apparently fell from thin air as there is no concrete evidence to his parents] and Julia Keeton. He was raised by an Adkisson family. My family line spells their name 'Maness' b/c of some Army records having spelled the name that way [at least I think that is the story]. To the best of my knowledge we are not connected to any Missouri Manesses. I do not have any in my researched lines anyway. Thanks for responding b/c you just never know when a family member will pop up!!
