    2. Gene, thank you, re: "Where I found Prospect Church is about 5-6 miles due east of Juno. The Black bottom creek mentioned flows into the northwest branch of Beech Lake." I will pass information along to my genealogy colleague who is helping me with map reading. He has a topography map of area where our mutual ancestors had their land grants in 1840's. We are hoping to find this Prospect Church that Judge J.H. Denison wrote about. We are looking for the graves of eight of our ancestors in this area. My colleague is No. Ca and I am in So. Ca so we have to rely on help from this list and my contacts in Lexington. Even though I was born in Lexington, my family left there when I was about 3 years old so I don't really know the area. Thanks again. Linda, So. CA

    2. STEVE SCOTT
    3. Hi Linda in So. CA. I am Steve Scott currently in Oregon. I am curious about your links to Henderson Co. and your "colleague" in No. CA as well as his location. My lineage goes back to the Scotts Hill area and includes SCOTT, WHITE, AUSTIN, WOODWARD, and others (DYER & LASITER I think). My grandfather was born in Scotts Hill and moved to OK early 1900's. He married there prior to statehood. My father had a cousin in No. CA. area of Marysville, so I know there are also Henderson county links in that area also. I think they also were linked to the PRESLEY family, but I have not been able to establish contact with any of the current generation. Have been wanting to send this and finally did, Steve Scott Camas Valley, OR (formerly of Fresno) ----- Original Message ----- From: <LFLENT@aol.com> To: <TNHENDER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 24, 2006 11:41 PM Subject: Re: [TNHENDER] Black Bottom Road > Gene, thank you, re: > "Where I found Prospect Church is about 5-6 miles due east of Juno.
