My grandfather, Samuel Martin Watson, graduated from Sardis Normal College, Sardis, TN. His diploma states he "completed course of study & training in the Teachers Department, Degree Licentiate of Instruction on June 15, 1905. The diploma signed by: C. Perry Patterson J. W. Williamson J. L. Cochran, Pres. of the Board I. ? W. Hassell, Secretary of the Board I'd love to have more information on Sardis Normal College. Seems like I found a picture on the net one time, but haven't been able to go back and find it again.
