We were having a discussion last night about How our ancestors celebrated Christmas in the middle to late 1800's. Does anyone know if they spent all day Christmas day in Church, did they exchange gifts ? What was Christmas like in the 1860's/70's and 1880's in the rural south? Does anyone have any ideas?
