A search of cemeteries of Henderson CoTn can be done on the below website: http://www.tngenweb.org/records/henderson/cemeteries/index.html I checked the 1836/1837 tax list of Henderson CoTn but found no MURPHY or GATES listed. It doesn't necessarily mean they weren't in HeCoTn, only that those names were not on the list I have access to.
