TN 15 Jun 2005 INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO SALANT BLAZE Early morning hours of June 7, fire destroyed old Salant and Salant building on Pine Street. The large plant building that provided employment for thousands of Henderson Countians and others over the years burned to the ground. The flames were visible for miles and the embers smoldered for days. "It's still under investigation," said LFD Fire Chief Steve Darrough.
