It is gold trimmed and has a nice picture of the First Methodist Church in Lexington, Tennessee. Judging from the old car in the picture, I believe it is from around 1950. It measures about 3 1/4" by 4 1/2" and has no chips or cracks.

    3. David, I don't think I have any of the items you're looking for but I can identify with your situation regarding your father. My mother died three years ago after suffering many years with Altzheimers's. God bless you and your father. And, not incidentally, thank you for your excellent work regarding Henderson and contiguous counties. 3. David-- here is a little that I have on my laptop with me. I may have more on my desktop puter. Am in Canada till the end of April. I'll see what I can find at home, then. June 11, 1831 - Jan. 28, 1842 SMALL, NARSISSA Died 1823 -------------------------------------------- CEMETERIES WITH NO MARKERs For many years after the creation of Natchez Trace State Park and Forest, little attention was given to the cemeteries within the boundary. By the 1970s most were overgrown and often damaged. In recent years the park has restored the cemeteries. All are now maintained by the park (though maintenance does not necessarily extends to their access roads). During the restoration post and log fences were placed around the boundaries of the cemeteries. Whitewashed concrete blocks replaced fieldstones and probably were placed where sunken spots indicated burials. As a result, all cemeteries are accessible and the number of burials can be estimated. But many of the cemeteries now look alike. Many have lost their individual characters. FULLER CEMETERY Fifth District Researched by: Anita Webb, Alicia Adcox, Johnny Moffitt, and Sammy and Frances Moffitt Location: On land now owned by the Beech River Watershed, which was previously owned by Clem Jowers. It is believed that several graves were once marked by wooden markers, and that Fullers, Timberlakes, and Kizers are buried here. ----------------------------------- KIZER First District Researched by:Sammie Lewis Location: Near Kizer Cemetery at Wildersville. Located here are several sandrocks which are believed to be an old graveyard. ---------------------------------------- LOVELL CEMETERY Sixth District Researched by: Betsy Patterson Location: On Wildersville-Chesterfield Road, 7 miles north of Chesterfield; within Natchez Trace State Park. Unmarked Graves ----------------------------------- ALTOM CEMETERY Sixth District Researched by: Cova Lewis Location: About 1-1/2 miles south of Natchez Trace store near the forks of Brown's Creek Lake. The Maness school house was built directly over several graves in the 1920's. It is believed that the graves are Altom's. --------------------------------------------- http://www.henderson-lea.hc.k12tn.net/donahue/henderson/nomarker.htm#KIZER LEWIS-ALTOM CEMETERY The Lewis-Alton Cemetery is located at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church. I decided to record this cemetery on the spur of the moment when driving past, and I do not exactly remember its location, but it was about eight miles north of darden. I think is was on the west side of Corinth Road just south of the intersection with Nealis Woods Road. The cemetery is well maintained. This cemetery was recorded December 23, 1997. Cova Lewis made an earlier record of this cemetery circa 1974. This record appears in R. H. Harris, ed., Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (Memphis, 1976), Vol. II, pp. 523-524. This earlier work is referred to as "Harris" in the notes below. I will try to get them retyped soon but with my father's declining health I cannot make any promises. David
