He married Vader Voy Duke 14 Feb 1923. And my grandmother was born 1 Dec 1925 in Jackson, Madison, TN. He was in WWII when he lost a leg. He died later in 1933 in a Wisconsin VA Hospital. There's another Grover Cleveland Sumler who was a World War I vet, and was wounded. He was born 11 Nov 1892, and died 23 Oct 1918. He's buried at Union Grove Cemetery w/ a military marker. I'm not sure if they are related.

My deepest sympathy to the Donahue family. I am very saddened by his death. He provided a great wealth of information on Henderson Co., Tennessee. He will always be remembered by his geneology family. K. Hull (AUSTIN, DUCK, JONES, DODD,)D
According to the online records, Ransom CUNNINGHAM was born in Virginia about 1797, and came to settle in Henderson Co TN. His wife was Sarah Rice born about 1804 in North Carolina. He lived in the 7th District and also the 10th District. He had 1,000 acres, a grist Mill, Cotton Gin, he was a Masonic Lodge member of #43, June Lodge, and he was affliated with the Methodist Episcopal Church. His son was A. B. Cunningham born in 1829 Henderson Co TN. This man married Mary Elizabeth YOUNG, d/o B.J. YOUNG. She was born 1838 Henderson Co. TN. My direct ancestor is William M. MARTIN born in North Carolina, married to Mary M. YOUNG. When William M. Martin died in Henderson Co TN in 1870, his under age children were all listed in court records as under the guardianship of B. J. YOUNG. It would appear that B. J. YOUNG is the brother of my ancestor Mary M. Young, Mrs. W.M. Martin. B.J. Young and his wife Druzilla, and their son are buried in Henderson Co TN at the Caffrey Cemetery, records are online. George Wesley Martin, s/o William M. Martin and Mary M. Young, married Martha Virginia Cunningham at Lexington, Henderson Co TN. They later moved to Navarro Co Texas as of the 1880 census. Mary M. Martin, the widow of William M. Martin, left Henderson Co TX with many of her younger kids, as well as her married son George Wesley Martin, and they all settled in Navarro Co TX, in the areas of Retreat, TX and Corsicanna, TX. as of the 1880 census. Anyone interested in these 3 families of Henderson Co TN please email me back. Best regards, Lillian Kathleen Martin, of William M. Martin and Mary M. Young.

Decatur County Library is in mourning tonight over the death of our dear friend, Mr. David Donahue. David passed away at his home in Parsons, TN this morning. We have been the kind recepient of many of his own personal books and many that he has bought for us. I know the geneological family shares in our sorrow. David has devoted many of his hours on his cemetery researches and we have all benefited greatly from them. There is to be no service of any kind but I would ask that you all take a moment and remember David and all his work he did for us. He will be greatly missed.
