Tn. the Brewers that settled in Decatur Co. Tn. was descended from James Quisenberry Brewer. He had 2 sons that stayed in Decatur co. 1. Henry Brewer 2. Josiah Brewer I do not know which one Sarah belonged to as they are listed on the census by initials only.

According to the marriage records of Decatur co.,Tn. John Hill and Sarah Brewer was married on Oct.18,1881, I do not know anything on th Hill family but Sarah Brewer was the daughter of either Henry Brewer or Josiah Brewer who were brothers and sons of James quissenberry Brewer fron N.C. the reason that I can not tell you for sure which one Sarah belonged to is they are listed on the census by initials only. if I can be of any farther help feel free to contack me at my email address Brewerbitty@yahoo.com I am from henderson co. but I live in Decatur co. He is living in Henderson Co TN in 1850 and 1860 (census). There were several men named James Ross. This one had a son, John M Ross born 1825 who married Martha Tignor. They had a son, Andrew Jack Ross born 1871 who married 1st Julia Faucett and 2nd Jennie Perryman. I'm not sure if James came from NC with the other Ross line (Hugh or Dugal line). My husband's g-g-grandparents were Hiram Laws, b. Nov. 17, d. 1803 & Jynsey (Jincy) Ann Sims, b. May 2, 1807 & d. May 29, 1873. They were both born in Orange Co. NC. We have been unable to link Jynsey Ann Sims to the large family of Sims who came from England. One of their sons was Dudley Sims Laws & one was Guilford Laws. There was a Guilford Dudley Sims who would be the right age to be her father, but I can't find a record. This family setttled in Carroll Co. near Clarksburg, TN & are buried in Sellers Cemetary. Berry Allen Davis, was born in N.C. in 1805, I don't know who his parents where. But, think he was from Caswell, Co. N.C. There was also another Berry A. Davis, living in the same Dist., but no kin that I know of, I have researched these Davis's, for about 6 years now. I have a picture of my Berry and Artellia Boswell-Davis, given to me my a cousin who still lives in that area of Madison, Co. Tn. Artellia Boswell, her parents where : Thomas Boswell and Mary Sims, from Orange / Caswell, Co. N.C. Mary Sims, mother was a Z. Rice, daughter of Thomas Rice. 1850 census Madison, Co. Tn.
