    2. A search of cemeteries of Henderson CoTn can be done on the below website: http://www.tngenweb.org/records/henderson/cemeteries/index.html I checked the 1836/1837 tax list of Henderson CoTn but found no MURPHY or GATES listed. It doesn't necessarily mean they weren't in HeCoTn, only that those names were not on the list I have access to. You might check the below webpage, the Miscellany items by Mr. Smith, there is an index for each Miscellany, ie. deeds, court records. http://www.tngenweb.org/records/henderson/

    2. It is presumed that Daniel H. Murphy and Daniel Murphy [no markers for them, but there are are for other family member] are buried in the Bethel Cememtery in Scotts Hill. There is also speculation that Daniel Murphy may have been buried in another place that is also unmarked. I am at work and cannot look up where that might be. I do not have a Margaret Murphy associated with either of them [best that I can remember anyway]. Daniel H. was my g-g grandfather. 2. Christine, FYI, on Genealogy Trails website, the name "JOSEPH REEL" in below History of HeCoTn believe last name should be spelled REED and not "Reel" Linda Henderson County Tennessee was created on November 7, 1821, from the Western District, and named in honor of Col. James Henderson. The earliest settler was Joseph Reel who, in 1818, located on Beech River, about five miles east of Lexington. Not long after this Abner Taylor located near the site of Lexington.
