This is in NO way a commercial site....all information is accessible to both members and guests (The only difference is you need to complete registration of a username and password to be able to post a query). It is my hope you will find this a useful tool for reaching people that may not know about "mailing lists" yet and that we can work together to get our information out there!!! I also realize you might get this more than once and it might appear to be spam, but I have no way of knowing who admins more than one list, so I am using the admin email for all the counties in your state at one time so I apologize for any "repeat" emails. Users are accumlating by the hour and posting their brick walls and I'm trying to let as many people know about it as possible, so that they in turn can subscribe to their respective mailing lists and share their info. I realize there are rules against "commerical adversting" and I want to assure you, this is soley a free message board for people to share their brick walls with other researchers they might not encounter elsewhere. I am not selling anything, or advertising anything that is "commercial". The forum is completely free, and you are welcome to check it out to verify that I MOST definately advocate free sharing of genealogy. For anyone interested in learning more, posting research queries, sharing information etc related to family histories, I have started a new website, with a discussion forum for this. Saturday March 17th makred the unveiling of http://www.ancestrallychallenged.com/forum a discussion forum (for posting brick walls and such and for links to other free sites) If you join the message board, there is place for you to add a link to your own site as well :) Thanks, Shannon Byers

For those of you interested in the history of Henderson County, the below link has has some history about Henderson County, TN, including the Mormons. It mentions specifically Sirenious Reed, Henderson Scott, and Robert Edge, a Mormon preacher, who came through Henderson County, TN. <A HREF="http://www.newrevelations.com/a_mysterious_preacher.htm">A Mysterious Preacher</A> http://www.newrevelations.com/a_mysterious_preacher.htm Since Sirenious Reed's daughter, Patra Olena Edge REED Myracle, has "Edge" as part of her name, my speculation is that she was named partially after Robert Edge, preacher. <A HREF="http://www.newrevelations.com/a_mysterious_preacher.htm">A Mysterious Preacher</A> Reference: Sirenious Reed, descendant of Joseph Reed, Jr., reported to be first white settler of Henderson Co. Henderson County TN Update - I'm happy to announce a very worthwhile project beginning in Henderson Co TN. The Doe Creek School / Church / Cemetery, in Scotts Hill, is going to be restored this year. From 1865 through 1956 this little school & Church was a vibrant part of the community. I am thrilled that Genealogy Trails will play a part in this event by giving the Internet Coverage through our website. I'll be gathering the historical and genealogical data, hopefully I'll be able to interview many of the families still living in the area, and get some pioneer family history. I'll be keeping up with the events, taking photos and doing all we can to help. It all begins right here.. http://genealogytrails.com/tenn/henderson/doeschool.html Wish everyone involved luck and if anyone knows anyone connected to this area - or has anything to contribute -- just let us know...
