Found in "History of Haywood Co, 1989" p. 15, under Garnett Bond, Sr. --- "The generation after the union of the late A. J. Buck Bond, Sheriff of Haywood County following the Civil War....." Can anyone provide more history on this -- he is not named in the Goodspeed list, yet I have no reason to doubt that the above statement is true. Goodspeed List John G.
