I have visited Rawls Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN on several occassions. I have found that Mr. Bill Rawls is very helpful. They have records from about 1933 to present day for Haywod, Gibson counties. They were the single funeral homer serving the African American community at that time. I am not sure where Mason TN is, but there is also another funeral home in Madison County, Stephensen-Shaw Funeral Home. They too, have many records dating from the 1950's.
