    2. Jody Thank you so much for posting this website, I found my ancestor John Pyne, he is my grandmother's uncle. I know that John Pyne (Pine) married Nancy Shanks and is buried in the Shanks family cemetery. May I ask the Shanks family who Henry Pyne married, it looks like he had 2 sons. John Pyne or Pine also had a brother name James Pyne and a sister Mary Pyne or Pine who is my great-grandmother who married George W. Morris. From what I gather James Pyne also stayed in Hawkins County but I cannot find any records for him, he did serve in the civil war but afterwards I cannot find any records of him or who he married, would anyone have this information. I have found Pyne or Pine to be spelled two different ways in some of the records I have researched. Thank you so much.
