Or if he is on an early census 1810, 1820 or 1830 note the 15 people above him and 16 people below him. DO NOT us a Alpha list. (Check for Page numbers if alpha) Sterling May is also one of our May Families of Humphreys and Dickson Co. Tn. The Mays families are married into Mary "Polly" Johnson Shropshire Mays Families. Her father and Mother is Hudson Johnson born unk a whiskey maker from NC they lived in 1775-1781 on Buffalo Creek in Henry Co Tn. Mother is Agness Johnson unk maided name. borne 1740-1750 died 1843 DIckson Co. Tn. Hudson lived on Buffalo Creek with a William Johnson and a James Johnson, Buffalo Creek runs down and across the NC State lines into Matrimony Creek in what is now Rockingham Co NC, this is where we find the Shropshire families of Joel Shsropshire with his Uncles and Cousins involved in the Matrimony Baptist Church. They are married to the Hill Families who will died in Franklin County Tn. See the Shropshire family will noted in report I sent you, some how this is tied in. William Shropshire served in the Rev. War with Gideon Johnson and his families of Williamson and Humphreys Co. Tn. which will include my McElyea Families of Williamson, Muary and Humphreys Co., Tn. Patrick Henry McElyea my lines will also die in Franklin Co. Tn he had help there filling out his Rev. War Application from a ? Patrick, his brother William McElyea served with the Shropshire and Allied families coming off Joel Shropshire. Gideon Johnson and William Shropshires Rev. War Service will include 3 brothers of Sgt. Reubin Curtis. They lived in areas where we find the matching DNA of Eli Thomas Curtis of Humphreys CO. Tn. The County Lines for Rockingham Co first Start with settlements of land in Rowan Co. NC Deeds where these families get first involved, and some how it will include families in Granville Co NC under Col. William Eaton. Jane Murrell and Seymour or Samier Shropshire leave the Matrimony Baptist Church and moved up unto the Rockfish River in what was Albemarle Co Va, then changed to Amherst and by 1803 this area is in Nelson Co. Va. Seymore Shrsopshire families are married into the Chandler families and the Fox Families of what was the Salisbury District of NC (several County Splits here). He moved back to Albemarle Co Va. with Jane Murrell a cousin of Rev. Thomas Murrell who remarried the widow of James Johnson of Henry Co. Va. and they left for the frontier of Big Creek then in Washington CO NC and claimed by Washington Co Va. Hudson Johnson lived with this James Johnson prior to his death which was abt 1782. Hudson Johnson settled in Carters Valley where Agness attended the Rev. Thomas Murrells Church on Big Creek (See Timothy Amiss books for names of Accounts) Hudson Leaves Big Creek about 1801-1803 and goes to lands that were inside Williamson Co. Tn. In 1803 he left Williamson Co. TN ( Note see split Counties of Williamson they include Muarry and Franklin Co. Tn) Of Note is my lines off Hiram McElyea son of Patrick Henry McElyea are in this area that becomes Muary Co. Tn. His father will do some more traveling but will die in Lands that become Franklin Co TN. (Which were in Williamson Co in 1803) Hudson Johnson and wife Agness will settle on Bartons Creek of Harpeth River of Robertson Co tn in 1803, but before they get there the lands become Dickson Co. Tn (Note see were else Harpeth River Deeds are found in early TN) Now of note in going back into Big Creek where Rev. Thomas Murrell settled is where we find General James Randolph Robertson founder of Tn. and wife Charlotte Reeves (Rives) (Reaves) of Note is Hudson Johnson bought his lands on Big Creek from Stokley Donaldson (Donelson) son of Col. John Donelson whose land deed for lands in what becomes Hawkins Co. Tn are found with the HENDERSON PARTY of ROWAN CO NC mostly in Virginia. Col. Donelson assisted the Henderson and its Company Officers in settling lands that will become NE Tennessee which will include the area of Hawkins Co. Tn. Now take a closer look at the partners in the Henderson group we find the name Lenoard Henley / a greatgrandson of Lenoard Henly who lived on Tuckahoe Creek in 1720-1730 Neighbor of my DNA Johnson lines, neighbor of the Hatcher Families coming off Benjamin Hatcher and Edward Hatcher Jr, then we find the Bullock Families, and one Thomas Murrell, who we even find the Ball families of General Washington. Now when Hudson Johnson and wife Agness left Williamson Co. Tn for lands of bartons Creek Robertson Co Tn. They will settle there on Bartons Creek by General James Randolph Robertson who owned the Iron Furnace on Bartons Creek and Harpeth River. Well most likely they traveled the Harpeth River coming out of Williamson Co. Tn. ( Note three our other Johnson Families on this River and on Bartons Creek but in other Counties) Now Rev. Thomas Murrell and his Wife the widow of James Johnson of Henry Co. Va. moved to Williamson Co. Tn where he had two brothers living. By 1806 he too is found in Dickson Co. Tn preaching. In 1843 Rev. Thomas Murrell's son is the administrator of my Agness Johnson estate. Now lets go back even further into the First Shropshire connections that can be found in 1698- to 1703 era Rev. St. John SHropshire a Anglin Church minister is preaching to the fore father of General James Randolph Robertson one Christopher Robertson here in this CHurch you will also find the Ball family (Fore Runner of General George Washington who gave General Robertson his commission) The families in this Church are also some of my Fore fathers Now the Rev. St. John Shropshires widow will re marry a Thomas Stonehouse neighbor of the Thornton Families whose families will be found on Rockfish River and following Col. William Eaton to Brunswick Co and then onto lands of Granville Co. NC ( thies lands will go into other counties when they split) Many notes on connctions on Rockfish River. "To know your neighbor is to know your Kinsmen" This is very true prior to 1860 and the War between the States. A lot of knowledge can be gained when you study the LAND our fore fathers came too as they came there with kinsman. Tony L. Johnson
