This family was from Hawkins County Tennessee, Charles and Mintie raised 6 children in Montana (William d. 1923, Georgia d.1989, Charles d.2005, Lyda Kate, Wiley James d.1997, Clyde. Charles died in 1952 in Yakima, WA. Mintie died in 1982 also in Yakima, WA. I found this info on the Hawkins Co. Website. Note: The location of this information has moved, here is the link to the new location: http://www.accessgenealogy.com/cemetery/tennessee/hawkins.htm This Cemetery is now on private property in what use to be known as the Price Community. It is about 12 Miles North of Rogersville, Tn off County Road 66.Turn right on the first road after passing the Chopstack Baptist Church, go to the end of the gravel road. The cemetery is located about 400 yards off this road to the North, behind a frame farm house and up on top of a small hill. A number of Price Cemeteries exist in this County, but this property was adjacent to the old Joe Price farm. (Partial Listing) Wiley A. If you will contact me privately, I can provide info on Wiley's father, John Garfield Shropshire, his half brother's ( Samuel Garfield Shropshire - my grandfather) and some history of the family. I'm the oldest survivor of the Sam Shropshire line. I located this cemetery in 1952. I have photographed all headstones. You're welcome to copies.
