Cousin Greetings I am gathering a lot on the DNA Families of Great Grandpa Eli Thomas Curtis. Ruth Gavett was my point of contact DNA Project is here http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Curtis%20DNA%20Data%20Base/<http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Curtis%20DNA%20Data%20Base/> If you want to read some very lengthy files on HOW OUR Joint families are connected I will be glad to send. >From a Math prospective with the Counties of NC breaking up the allied families of Johnson-Johnston-Curtis-Hatcher-Stoval-Rentfo Landrum or Landon-McElyea-Boone-Combs-Murrell-Fields-Matlock-Shelton-Sim or Symes-Minor are in two Counties of NC prior to the splits in Counties they are and Rowan County NC (Roan) County and Granville County NC Here is but a few of the inter connections and how they connect: My Notes: Daniel Boone comes off the Same Royal Lines as General James Randolph Robertson. All the Randolph men of Colonial Virginia are descendants of Sir Humphrey De Bohun. Which include President Thomas Jefferson of Tuckahoe Creek. Tuckahoe Creek is where my and Pegs matching DNA is fatherest Traced back to one Michael Johnson died 1719 who married to Sarah Watson. Tuckahoe Creek and its water ways has many of the families of Williamson Dickson, and Humphreys Co. fore fathers on it: Benjamin Hatcher, Edward Hatcher, Thomas Cocke (LTC RICHARD COCK and Doodes Minor cousin lines of Gen. Washington),Gilbert Elam, Benjamin Ward, William Randolph, Charles Hudson, William Burton, William Pope (Pope families of Gen. Washington) Henry Trents family of Richard Cox, Charles Hudson William Witt and brother William Witt, Jane Valentine married to Peter Ware, Leonard Henley, Thomas Murrell Sr. These Lines of Sir Humphrey DeBohun are also connected to the De Montague Lines which have some of the descendants of LTC Richard Cocke of colonial Virginia in them, which include The Doodes Minor families and President George Washington and his wife Martha Dandridge whose cousin is married to Patrick Henry who was first married to a Shelton whose family is married to the Medlock-Matlock families of Humphreys and Dickson Co Tn. Of note is the Dandridge familes were married to the Custis- Curtis families of Colonial Virginia. Patrick Henry's borhter was Capt. John Symes whose cousin was Adam Symes married to an Isham whose sister was married into the William Randolph Lines of Tuckahoe Creek. Adam Symes off spring are the Neighbors of Hudson Johnson when he bought his lands in Washington Co NC now Hawkins Co. Tn (James Bartlett Simms. Whose families are in Rev. Thomas Murrells Church on Big Springs. Colonel Donelson (Donaldson) is found also connected to General James Randolph Robertson also "reported" to be a William Hatcher descendant. Col. Donaldson son Stokley Donaldson sold lands in Carters Valley to Hudson Johnson in 1783. Hudson Johnson-Johnston settled on Big Creek with Rev. Thomas Murrell. This is the Creek James Robertson and wife Charlotte Reeves (Rives or Reaves) lived on before founding Nashville. Of Note is Hudson Johnson resettled on Bartons Creek where General James Roberston at one time owned the Iron Furnace there. Also of note is the trade George Rive is who Charolette Rives is reported to descend from. One needs to look at Cross connections there to the Henley Families. Leonard Henley Bullock, is off the Lenoard Henley families associated with Tuckahoe Creek Johnson and allied families in 1744. Lenoard Henley Bullock was the neighbor of the William Payne Jr Families. Leonard Henley Bullock is also a cousin lines of Susannah Turner married to Terisha Johnston of Nut Bush Creek Mecklenburg Co and Bute CO NC. The cousin lines of Lenoard Henley Bullock are also found on Nutbush Creek they are Lenoard Henley Sims and Lenoard Henley Bullock. This is where we find John Johnson buying lands on Nut Bush Creek from John Robertson ( Father of Gen. James Randolph Robertson) in Brunswick CoVa. Terisha Johnston, Stephen Johnson and John Johns sell these lands. Terisha Johnston is the fore father of Len Henley Johnson of Huumphreys Co. Tn. and yes he gets his name from Len Henly of Tuckahoe Creek. ----- Original Message ----- From: Joan Pruett<mailto:jpruett419@bellsouth.net> To: Tony L Johnson<mailto:TonyempireOre@msn.com> Sent: Sunday, June 21, 2009 1:07 PM Subject: Curtis and Hatcher families of Humphreys Co., TN Tony, I saw your message in the Williamson Co., TN, digest, and believe we may have corresponded several years ago. I am a descendant of the Eli Thomas Curtis, Joshua Curtis line in Humphreys County. Joshua's wife was Martha Hatcher, daughter of John Hatcher and Henrietter Landrum. Your posting mentioned Curtis and Hatcher DNA projects. Can you tell me who is in charge of them? I do not know of any male Curtis or Hatcher descendants but am interested in comparing my personal information about both lines. Joan Pruett
