Abijah Anderson was born 2 Jan 1807 in Hawkins Co. TN and the son of Swimpfield George Anderson & Elizabeth Sullivan of Hawkins County. I think Swimpfield was born in Grayson, VA. Abijah was married about 1828 to Jane Mitchell (b. 12 Dec 1812 in Hawkins, TN) the daughter of John J. Mitchell & Martha "Patsey" Lyons. After Jane died, Abijah married Temperance McGinnis (b. 6 Dec 1820 in Hawkins, TN. She had been married 1st to Abchibald Wolfe in about 1840 .
