Shows to have been born between 1797 and 1803, in Hawkins County, TN. Source: Familysearch.com, LDS website. A David Harmon shows to have been in the War of 1812, assigned to Captain Georg Argenbright's Company of Volunteer Riflemen in the East Tennessee Militia. Also in this company was William Bailey, who probably became his father in law. Source: Tennessee State Archives microfilm of War of 1812, book 1, number 26-G-2-2 In 1815, In Hawkins County, TN county deeds register, James Segine transferred a deed to David Harmon. Book w, page 424. In William, "Flea Buck" Bailey's will, dated 30 May 1828, David Harmon is mentioned as the husband of a beneficiary, Sally Dougla Harmon. His daughter, Jude Harmon, was also mentioned. The 1830 Tennessee census shows David married with 6 children. He shows to have been married to Sarah Bailey, daughter of William Bailey. (Source: Ancestry.com) The 1840 Illinois census shows David living in Johnson County, IL, with one female between 5 to 10 years old, another between 20 to 30 years old, 2 males under 6 years old, and 2 males between 5 and 10 years old. According to the same census, Sarah is shown as the head of the house in Hawkins County, TN. David Harmon was married to Martha Eubanks on Feb 11, 1847, in Johnson County, IL. David & Martha resided in District 2,Johnson, IL according to the 1850 Census. Living with them was David's children from his previous marriage to Sarah Bailey (?), William, John, and Nancy, as well as 2 chidren of Martha and David, Jesse J. and George H. According to the 1860 Missouri census, David & Martha resided in German Township, BolIinger County, MO. According to the 1870 Missouri census, David & Martha resided in German Township, BolIinger County, MO. David Harmon must have died before the census was actually taken in 1880. In this census, Martha is shown as the head o the houshold and a widow. She lived in Bollinger County, MO. Don't look for a will in Tennesse, since he died in Missouri.
