Sue, This is your "Ballard" cousin. The Shelby County site is great, but your dates are on the edge. I you don't find them in the index, you will have to ask the State Archives to look for them. I think that the online index only goes to 1928. Unfortunately, this index only goes to 1928- leaving quite a gap. I will be going to Nashville later this summer and will be happy to look it up for you if you cannot find it on either index. I have family in Hawkins county. This is where Delphia Ballard moved after she married Thomas Coldwell. My Beals family is here also.
