No Armstrongs on the 1790 list but checking our other files on Hawkins County Tn File is The families of Big Creek Hawkins County Tn a Thomas Armstrong is involved with the early Christian families. Then in 1848 names taken in order as entered on the old Yellow Store Journal is William Armstrongs Account. This store was in Stanley Valley which is part of the Carters Valley area connected to Big Creek a James S. Armstrong is involved in Rogersville with the will of: 1866 May Proven Copy of Last Will and Testament of Polly Anderson, Deceased Will Book II Page 53 You might also find clues to your Armstrong by looking at Armstrong Donelson: Col. John Donelsons land grants for what is now Hawkins Co Tn were in Va.
