Hello, I am looking for any info on George Lee, buried in Carpenter Cemt. (Hawkins Co., near Spruce Pine). He was married to Rachel Carpenter. They had a daughter Jessie Lee (my great-grandmother), she is buried at Bethesda in Morristown. I cannot find anything on George Lee other than muster roll cards from civil war. He was with the 2nd N.C. Mtd Inf. Co. A and has a GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) stone with no birth or death dates. Also on Rootsweb they have Jessie Lee listed as Jessie Leed which throws everything out of order. Jessie married Salamis McCarver. I have a copy of microfilm of her obituary listing her parents George and Rachel Carpenter Lee. ANY HELP OR INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Kevin Witherell Morristown, TN
