There is a great deal of information from the census records and Chancery Court records to suggest that all of the Hawkins and Hancock County Burtons were the children of Samuel and Rebecca Trent. All of these Trents changed their names to Burton around 1850. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
