Tony, since you're interested in the people living along the creeks, I thought these additional property transactions might be interesting to you and others: 1847 - Hawkins Co, TN: James P. McCarty to Jacob Armstrong on 9 Sept 1847 (registered 3 Jan 1848). Peter Smith got 4 judgments against Alexander Armstrong before Lemuel White, JP on 19 July 1842. Levied on land adjoining Wm King, West Hayworth and others and on which Alexander lived. Another 2 judgments by R. G. Fain and Brothers. Land sold on 17 Dec 1842 to Richard G. Fain and Jacob Charles for $25. On 9 Sept 1847 Jacob Armstrong paid all debts against land. I gave you this one already: May 22, 1848 Land entry granting Jacob Armstrong 106 acres on the south side of the Holston River on the waters of Dodson's creek adjoining lands of William King. Also mentioned is I. Thrasher, A. Kelley 1849 -Jacob Armstrong sold land on Dodson's Creek to Wm King (both of Hawkins Co, TN) on 10 March 1849, the land being that which Jacob M. Charles and R. G. Fain bought at Sheriff's Sale as the property of A. Armstrong "by and assigned to Jacob Armstrong"
