Yes Several families from Hawkins Co Tn went to the Sims or Symes settlement in Limestone, James Bartlett Simms the neighbor of Hudson Johnson and wife Agnes on Big Creek went there. The Shropshire- Hill families of Rockingham Co. NC connected to Hudson Johnson also went there to. Remember the Sims families were in the PRIMITIVE BAPTIST church with Reverend Thomas Murrell as was by Agness Murrell Now you will even find my Patrick Henry McElyea in Limestone Ala. and he came back into Franklin Co Tn as did the Hill families off the Shropshire familes. His brother William McElyea served in the rev. War with William Shropshire a first cousin to Joel Shropshire the recorder for Hawkins Co. Tn. LOL the Matching Curtis DNA of my Eli Thomas Curtis of Humphreys Co. Tn is also found in the County William Shropshire came out of. I gave up on County lines a few years back when I found my families in one County but living on the Same Creek and the Same River and things started to make more sense. Get to Know your Neighbors on the Creek, Mountain or River as they are all family, intermarrying each other, moving together and going off to war. You are just like the Energizer Bunny, you just keep on giving and giving... smiles Thank you so much for yet another wonderful tip!!! I am amazed that such a group went from Hawkins Co to Limestone/Giles and then on up to Weakley Co TN but they surely did!!! I read over the Elk River Intruders List, quickly, I will go back and spend more time there. I have a Sims Settlement Booklet that I bought when I was in AL a few years ago but I didn't know about Clemons and Daugherty then. I know Clemons was in Limestone Co which now makes sense, since his wife's father went there also??? I am 'assuming' Francis is Mary father's but this all makes that more believeable too!!! I am thinking about cancelling my subscription to Ancestry and just subscribing to YOU!!! smiles I am surely glad your Aunt Katie ? got you started on this great hobby!!! Although hobby does not do your work justice, it is a TREASURE!!! Well, let me get back to the Daughertys and Clemons. I am sure we will be in touch again!!! Is Daughterty one of your lines??? I am intrigued with the ISHAM name, I think one of the Murrell men married an Isham? That's a brand new one for me... Thank you Tony!!! Sherry
