As Shirley noted, the Gardners are a bit of a puzzle, in part because the names are so similar and in part because at least some of the "conventional wisdom" including that in LDS records is not correct. Also, I think we may have some offspring of non-married parties who are complicating the search. However, I do appreciate the lead to Bath county and will follow up on it. Again, thanks.
