Hi Jim, There was a David Waggoner b. 1810, grandson of the Col. David Waggoner through the elder David's son Jacob, who also had a son named Wm. D. Waggoner/Wagner b. abt 1834. He was William Daniel Wagner. He moved to Oregon abt 1873. He was born about 5 or so years after my Wm. D. Waggoner appears in the household of David Munsey (Rev.) on the 1830 Russell Co., VA. So, I have wondered if Jacob (b. fathered Wm. D. Waggoner b. 1816. For months, the identity of the boy age 10-15 there was a mystery, as my gggg-grandfather David Munsey did not have a son that age. Then a cousin passed on to me a letter his mother wrote last year, saying she remembered a story about Wm. D. Waggoner having run away from home (a stepmother was mean to him), went to Saltville, VA, where he found someone to give him room and board in exchange for farm labor. That was Rev. David Munsey, according to the story. Rev. Munsey was in Saltville for his annual supply of salt, and feeling sorry for the boy, allowed him to come home with him, to live and work with his family. Wm. D. m. the Rev.'s daughter, Nancy Munsey, Dec 1840. I would be thrilled to have any information on Col. David Waggoner. I have been working on that family's genealogy for a few months, so we can trade I suppose! I just finished a genealogy for David Waggoner who married my wifes cousin. I can share any information you want. I will look for information on William David Waggoner. Sorry, list! I thought I was sending that non-Hawkins Co. info to Jim's email address only. I will take this conversation off-list. My apologies, Michelle ________________________________ From: Michelle Ligon <mich9118@bellsouth.net> To: tnhawkin@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 2:18:00 PM Subject: Re: [TNHAWKIN] Hawkins County Information Hi Jim, There was a David Waggoner b. 1810, grandson of the Col.
