I believe that Jane Hicks married to Thomas Hicks was the previously widowed mother of Martin Lawson, and that is why Martin Lawson was living there in 1850. In 1860, Martin Lawson was living with Bartley Lawson and Nancy was living with Daniel Venable which would support the idea that Nancy and Mary were sisters.
