    3. I have been trying in vain to find my oldest Ingram. Since his son Andrew Ingram purchased land in 1791 in the Hawkins Co., Tn. area I researched the early Ingram's. There were two William Ingram's. The early one had many acres of land - mostly in White County and some land on Caney Creek. This man seems to have married a person named Eleanor. She is listed as a widow in the 1800 Pres. Church records. I have only been able to find Thomas as an heir when this man William died. Thomas gave his sister Eleanor Criner 200 acres of land and some of old man William's land was next to a Mary Ingram. From what I have been able to piece together the children were: Mary Elizabeth b: abt. 1779 in TN. married Samuel Wilson. Thomas b: abt. 1779 married Martha "Patty" Tyree. William b: abt. 1780 Eleanor "Nelly" married Joseph Criner Margaret "Peggy" married James Long. Mary and Samuel moved to Washington County, Ark. Mary is buried in Hempstead, Washington Co., Ark. Perhaps a study of Washington County, Ark. will turn up relatives to find Samuel's brothers and sisters. Just a thought. Enjoying the dialog about the Wilson's.
