Tn.Complainant vs James Willis who resides at Ft. Douglas, Utah. Defendant Complainant states she was married in Hawkins Co. Tn 21st day of July, 1889. and has lived in Hw. Co. ever since. The defendant two whole years ago to wit: on the 20th of April 1892, he wilfully deserted her without just cause. When he first left he went to Wise Co. Virginia where he stayed only a short time, leaving that place and moving west where he joined the U.S. Army where he has remained ever since. Before Christmas 1893 he sent a money order to Robert Cope for $20.00 for benefit of the children to wit Cornie? Belle born Sept 19, 1890 and John Brownlow born August 1, 1892 the only children of their marriage. He left before the youngest was born. The defendant would not care for her or their two children a girl and a boy. She wants her maiden name of Birdie Pearson be restored to her.
