Dear Elizabeth, Hello, as for the death certificate you will need to contact the Tennessee Vital Records Office. The only records that are available for public viewing are the years 1908-1954. Here is their site: http://www2.state.tn.us/health/vr/ They are pretty strict on who they release these recent death certificates to, I wish you luck. Hi Melissa; Thank you for that information, but I know I couldn't get a death certificate from the state. I am no relation at all, just doing a lookup for another person, out of state. I was hoping that someone on the list might have known Mr. Johnson, or have access to an obituary or death notice in a book, or something like that. Thank you again for taking the time to reply.
