Thank you so much!! It really helped fill in some gaps. Are you also researching the Willis family? I have his military file and have just recently requested his pension application. In his military file, he listed his closest living relative as Mrs. J Willis, or at least it appears that way to me. I think his parents are Iredell and Julia Willis but I need more proof. Maybe the pension application will contain some clue. Thanks again!
