This is Malinda Gilbert's grandchild by Jesse--right? Do you know Jesse's father was? I have several affidavits signed by him in which he says that Malinda was his mother and signs the affidavits Jesse Jr. So, who was Jesse Sr? I have an affidavit from Jacob Mullens stating that he was married to Malinda from 1879 to 1883 but that she had no children by him--I can think of why he would say that--a pension issue. Now Jacob's mother was Manerva Mullins, but I don't know who she was married to? Could Jacob's father be Jesse Mullins? I also understand that Jesse had an older sister.
