My first cousin, once removed, Margaret Long Mabery has done a great deal of research but I do not have that as yet. My mother's research has been lost. John Harvey Long married to Caldonia Jones (b 1872) was the son of Henry Long (b 1841 possibly in Owen Co., IN) and Margaret Fortner (b 1851 in VA). Henry Long was the son of Jefferson Long (1814-1906 born & died in NC) and Elizabeth Woodie (1815-1864 born & died in NC). Jefferson Long was the son of John Long Jr. (1783-1876 born and died in NC) and Susannah Stamper (1790-1871). John Long Jr. was the son of John Long Sr. (1755-1863) and Susannah Vannoy. I have nothing on any siblings and I am sure there were plenty. I will post again when I get any more info. All my information is verbal from mom talking to relatives. Good luck.
