Piney Lawson is considered by many to be the daughter or daughter-in-law of Burrell Lawson. There is a lot of controvery about the father(s) of Piney's children. My own belief is that she was a Willis who married a son of Burrell Lawson--probably John Lawson who may have died in Indiana, but many believe that she was the mistress of James Willis. There is no documentation either way. Only a DNA test of the male descendents will help to solve the issue. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
