Hawkins was my grt-grandfather, died in AR before 1910 he ws born in AL around 1822 or so. I found a James Hawkins on the Henderson Cherokee roll of 1835 - Do not know who the father of James P. was - any information would be appreciated. Do know he was in AR by 1840 or little before.
