"Richard" Pearson or C. C. "Richard" Pearson or Christian C. "Richard" Pearson born about 1821. He reportedly married Eliza Jane Trent about 1852, daughter of Benjamin Trent. I don't know if there is any documentation that actually supports this or not. He was the son of Henry Pearson, but Henry's 1842 estate settlement documents clearly named his son as Christian C. Pearson. However, in 1850 he was using the name Christopher. I have always thought that the 1870 C. G. might be a census error--"C" and "G" sound very similar. The 1880 Richard Pearson is living right where he should be to be Christopher Pearson, and his older children are living around him. I haven't found a good explanation for why he was Richard in this census. Perhaps it is just a census error.
