    3. Forgive me if I asked already, but were your BRIGGS out of NC ? I have a Barbara BRIGGS who was born in NC. I know little about her prior to this. She had a son "Jesse BRIGGS" b abt 1781 SC and shortly after that she married James BURK or BURKE in SC. there is a possiblity that BRIGGS was not her married name, no reason to suspect this however, but I have nothing on a first marraige either. I was told once by a researcher that Gray BRIGGS of NC maybe related. I think it was speculation based on some GRAY family ties. anything?
