    1. Re: LOOSE RECORDS FROM HAWKINS CO. COURTHOUSE - JOHNSON, LAWSON
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XeB.2ACE/3339.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Capital A and C can look similar depending on the style of the "A" - loop form capital (circular with tail) a or the triangular form A. Similar situation w/capital D and L. Strictly speculation: Old Clem appears to have had only 2 or perhaps 3 sons per the censuses - 4 at most. 1800 (If he is the Samuel in Stokes Co., NC) 2 males b: 1790 - 1800 Edmund, Mason or Lacey ? 1810 Tax list - no adult males Curtis, maybe Mason or Lacey possibly Paschal. 1830 one male b: 1810 – 1815 (?), one male b: 1820 – 1925 (Curtis ?) Patmon also had 3 boys b: 1790 - 1800 who are unaccounted for. One may be Ambrose (the older) b: 1784 abt. another John who moved to Walker Co., AL and had a son named Patman / Patmon. Did the boys migrate with uncles ? Patmon disappears between the 1800 and 1810 census (did he leave a will ?) - if he died maybe brother Clem took his nephews along moving west (Lacey and Mason come to mind, maybe Alem and Richard). Sherrod (b: 1755 - 1765) also had only 2 males b: 1810 - 1820 who are unaccounted for (sons grandsons ?). Sherod may be related to / older brother or uncle of (?John / ?James) Burrell Lawson). Who are these two boys ? Did they migrate w/uncle / relative Burrell ?
