Remember that Preston Lawson, Alexander Lawson and Martin Lawson were part of an estate settlement in an earlier Hawkins County Archive Project document. We know that Alexander Lawson and Martin Lawson were from Surry County and they appear to be the sons of Thomas and Sarah Twitchett Lawson of Surry County. It also appears that Thomas Lawson died before 1820--or they were divorced. Sarah had some other children living with her in 1820 including a male in the 10-16 category. This may have been Preston Lawson. It is something that we will have to look into some more. David
