Other spelling are from JP's who could not always spell. Matthew Manis is married to Tabitha Jewel daughter of Joseph Jewel. I believe him to be a son of Peter Manis/ Maners. Jacob Manis's sons named in his will are Ephraim, Elisha, Daniel, Daniel Manis later lived in Greene Co. Tn. Ephraim and Elisha both moved to Jefferson Co. Mo. before the 1850 census. Then there is Bartley and Peter Manis in the same area. Maybe later I will find all of children of each as we get into other records. PC
