Nocie HARRIS born 9 May, 1883 who was the second wife of Robert Lee LAWSON, son of Wilkerson LAWSON and Mary Ann WINSTEAD. Married abt 1902. Nocy Harris Lawson, daughter of Riley and Nealie Harris, was born 9 May, 1883, departed this life 13 January, 1952 at 4:20 A.M., age 68 years, 7 months, and 5 days. She joined Cobb's Chapel Baptist Church where she was a member until death. She was married to R.L. Lawson and to this union was born seven children; her husband and one daughter preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss, four sons, Wilk J., Paul, Bert Albert, and Sturm; two daughters, Lula (Russell) Lawson and Dovie Lee (Hugh Willard) BOWLIN; 21 grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing. Cora Lee HARRIS born 12 March, 1886, at Galbos Springs, Tennessee, died 8 February, 1970, in Tennessee who was the wife of John LAWSON, son of Rufus LAWSON, Sr. and Sarah Ann HAND. Cora and John were married 10 August, 1902. From the Mulberry Gap Baptist Church Association obituaries: Cora Harris Lawson was a member of Cobb's Chapel and Grassy Springs Churches. Her children were: James "Jay" Lawson of Kingsport; Clay Lawson of Rogersville; John Grant and Sturm Reece Lawson of Church Hill; Hugh Kyle Lawson of Staunton, Texas; Blanche (Jeff) Manis of Church Hill; Coger Lawson, Anne Belle Lawson, Paul Lawson, and Etta Mae (Robert H.) Hurd of Eidson. c. John Will HARRIS who married Eva WILDER and had: Nola Faye Harris deceased as of 30 September, 1995; Guy WILDER who lives in Campobello, SC.; Mary Alice Harris who married an Eidson and lives in Morristown, Hamblen County, Tennessee; Charles Gaston Harris who lives in Camden, Ohio; Lawrence Junior Harris who lives in Franklin, Ohio; Paulene Harris Davis who lives in the Friendship Community near Clinch, Hawkins County, Tennessee; Raymond R. Harris who lives in St. Clair, Tenn. near Whitesburg, Tennessee; Frank Austin Greene who lives at Bean Station, Tennessee; and Mildred Loretta Harris Morris lives at Surgoinsville, Tennessee. d. James Riley HARRIS born 4 April, 1892, in Tennessee, died 29 August, 1944, in Springfield, Illinois. He married Lula Kiersey, a daughter of Elijah and Cordelia (Mayo) Kiersey. h. Willie Alice "Wickie" HARRIS born abt 1897, died in 1972. She married Maxie Andrew Woods. William Riley HARRIS was married secondly to Malinda Cornelia FERRELL at Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee, on 23 July, 1881. Malinda Cornelia FERRELL was born 20 June, 1859, the daughter of Alfred FERRELL and Tamsy Jane Sinael LAWSON. i. Mollie HARRIS born abt 1895 in Tennessee. I have a note here from Anne HARRIS, of Austin, Texas, dated 12 March, 2002, that says Mollie HARRIS married to a man named FOGERTY and died at the San Francisco earthquake. j. Margaret Maggie HARRIS born 13 July, 1989 in Tennessee. She married to Grant Jarvis LAWSON k. Samuel Carson HARRIS born 11 June, 1900 in Tennessee, died 20 February, 1981. He married to Maude Laura BATES l. Lucy Ethel HARRIS born 17 March, 1904 in Tennessee, died 20 August, 1975. She married to Leslie MAYES. m. Jesse Koger HARRIS who only lived to abt 2 years of age.
